The Blogger Scare.... for nothing!

Ok folks, this is not my usual Thursday post but I know some of you were panicking when you woke up or tried to log into your Blogger and found that you couldn't log in.  Well, we didn't panick because the first thing we did at MFS was go to that link I've mentioned on here many moons ago - downrightnow.com.  We checked and they were able to tell us that Blogger and Hotmail for that matter, were both.. well, down right now.  They were down for roughly 5 hours.

So once again I'll mention the link.

Monitoring the Status of Your Favorite Web Services
Where can you turn to find out if others are having the same problem? downrightnow was created to tell you when popular web services are experiencing trouble. It pulls together information from several sources to determine when there's an outage or other disruption:
  • Reports from users who visit downrightnow
  • Public messages on Twitter from users who are having service trouble
  • Official company announcements and status reports
  • Other third-party web sites that monitor service status
Just visit downrightnow to stay informed. You'll get real-time updates on the status of your favorite web services, both official and unofficial, all in one place. And don't forget to file a report whenever you notice a service issue -- it's easy and you'll let others know they aren't the only ones having trouble.

People, I don't give you these links for the fun of it.  I give you these links to make your life less stressful.  So please, in the future, before you start panicking... just click on downrightnow first to find out what's going on and if everything is ok with them and you still can't log in... then you can start panicking. *just kidding*

All that panicking... for nothing...
