The Rules For Cubicle Dwellers

Working in a cubicle is like being stuck in an elevator, writes cubicle dweller James Thompson, author of The Cubicle Survival Guide, an advice book for the millions of North Americans trapped in office culture. "You have to assess the situation, assess the people you are with," he says. "You might not like the state of the affairs but given the reality, you must not only learn to like, but to trust the people you are with."

Among the top things to master is phone etiquette. "Don't think your colleagues aren't paying attention to your phone conversation, they are." To this end, never whisper, says Thompson, who works at a TV staion in Washington. "Just as speaking a foreign language for an extended duration makes others speculate as to what is being discussed, nothing creates an aura of gossip more than whispering.

21 Things You Should Know Before Being Interviewed!

Ok, so there's so much out there on the net about what to do, what not to do before an interview that it seems overwhelming at times, to say the least. It makes you almost not want to be bothered with finding that job or worse yet, make you so nervous than you would have been otherwise that you totally make an ass of yourself!

Well, we've searched the net to find the best tips! Don't get overwhelmed, some of them are quite obvious, others should come naturally and our advice to you (speaking from experience of course), is to try to get a good night's sleep the night before, take a deep breath, relax, be honest and things will work out just fine!

1. Have a good idea of exactly what the job description is about. Believe it or not - people go to an interview talking about their skills, which has nothing to do with the actual job! Know why you want to work for the firm. Do your best to obtain information about the company before the interview.
